Ann Wilkinson, Ph.D. provides
business planning and business development expertise to the food
industry. She specializes in working with emerging food
companies, and has extensive experience consulting with producer
owned organizations. Industry competencies include organic and
natural foods, meat, cheese, and specialty food products.
Wilkinson served as product
manager of branded products for two Fortune 500 food companies.
Further, Wilkinson was employed as a research economist handling
strategic planning and feasibility studies for one of the
nation’s largest agricultural cooperatives. She holds degrees
from Colorado State University and the University of Missouri,
Amy Blackburn joined Origin Farms Consulting in 2009. As an Associate, she provides business planning, marketing, and grant-writing services for emerging food companies. She also has over fifteen years of experience in the software and capital goods markets providing development, marketing, and consulting services. Blackburn holds a BS degree from Wake Forest University and a Masters in Business Administration from Temple University.
Jessica has experienced sustainable living first hand, living in an earthship (off-the-grid housing) in New Mexico and getting her B.A. in sustainable agriculture at Carleton College. Jessica’s first-hand experience with agriculture ranges from crop production to support. As a home gardener, school garden coordinator, and worker on a 60-acre organic produce farm, Jessica has extensive growing experience. She is also the founder and manager of a neighborhood Farmers’ Market and an organizer of the Kansas City Urban Farm and Garden Tour.
